Advertiser Disclosure

This site makes money from an activity that costs its readers money. That conflict is real and cannot be disclaimed, so here is exactly how it works and what it does not touch.

10OnlineCasinos is an independent affiliate site. We may earn a commission when you click through our links and sign up with an operator, at no additional cost to you. Commission is not an input to any ranking or score, and an operator cannot pay to move up.

That is the disclosure. The rest of this page is the detail behind it, because a one-line disclosure is easy to write and impossible to check.

How We Actually Get Paid

Where a page carries a commercial link, we are paid by the operator or by an affiliate network acting for it, on one of two models: a one-off payment when a referred reader signs up and deposits, or a share of the operator’s revenue from that reader over time. Rates differ between operators, and they differ enough that a purely commercial site would order its rankings around them.

The money comes out of the operator’s marketing budget. It does not come out of your balance, your bonus or your odds. You get the same offer and the same terms arriving through a link here as you would typing the operator’s address into your browser directly, and if that were ever not true for a particular link, we would say so at the link rather than on this page.

We are not paid for reviews, for coverage, or for a particular verdict. Nobody at any operator sees a review before it is published.

What Commission Does Not Affect

Could commission influence this?Answer
Where an operator ranksNo. Ordering comes from the published weightings
Its scoreNo. Commission is not one of the seven criteria
Whether a negative finding gets publishedNo. We publish findings that embarrass operators we earn from
Whether an operator is included at allOnly in one direction: an unverifiable licence excludes an operator regardless of what it pays
Buying placement or a higher positionNot offered, at any price
Paying to have a review removed or softenedNot offered
Reviewing a draft before publicationNever permitted

We are aware that every affiliate site says this. The difference we can actually offer is that our criteria and weightings are published, which means a ranking that does not follow them is visible to anyone who reads both. If you find one, tell us and we will either fix the ranking or explain the reasoning.

Pages That Carry No Commercial Link

Some of our pages carry no commercial link at all, and it is worth being specific about when that happens, because it is the clearest evidence that the commercial relationship is not driving the content.

  • Where we could not verify an operator’s licence on a regulator’s register. We do not send readers to an operator we cannot identify.
  • Where an operator may no longer be trading, or its site does not load.
  • Where the market restricts gambling advertising, so a promotional link would be inappropriate regardless of whether it is lawful for us specifically.
  • On responsible gambling, editorial, methodology and complaints pages, including this one.

Our reviews of 29Hoki, Scorepesa, BongoBongo and Adjarabet. All carry no affiliate link. Each of them says so on the page, with the reason.

How Links Are Marked

Commercial links carry rel=” sponsored nofollow”, which is how a search engine is told that a link is paid rather than editorial. Links to third parties we have not vetted carry rel=”nofollow”. Neither attribute is decorative: publishing paid links as ordinary editorial links is a manipulation of search results, and we would rather not.

The disclosure appears above the first commercial link on a page, not only in the footer. If you have scrolled past a link before seeing the disclosure, the disclosure was in the wrong place.

How to Read Us Sceptically

The most useful thing we can offer is not reassurance; it is a set of checks you can run on us.

  1. Look for the negatives. Every review should contain findings that would put you off. If a page reads like it could appear on the operator’s own site, treat it as marketing and tell us.
  2. Check whether the wagering base is stated, not just the multiplier. A site that prints only a multiplier is not doing the work.
  3. Check whether payout claims carry a date, a method and a name. Ours either do, or the page says the test has not been run.
  4. Check whether the licence claim says which register it was verified against. “Licensed and regulated” with no number is not a claim you can check.
  5. Compare our ranking against the published weightings. If the ordering does not follow them, we have some explaining to do.

Advertising Rules by Market

Affiliate marketing of gambling is regulated, and the rules apply to the affiliate rather than only the operator. This constrains what we publish and where, and it is why some pages read as information rather than recommendation.

MarketOur approach
AustraliaCommercial links permitted on pages that meet the market’s requirements, with age and support messaging carried alongside
Canada — OntarioOperators registered with iGaming Ontario only, and no bonus promotion of any kind. AGCO standards bar advertising inducements, bonuses or credits to Ontario players outside an operator’s own controlled site
Canada — other provincesCommercial links permitted. Minimum age differs by province, so each page states the one that applies rather than a national figure
Great BritainNo commercial content unless every operator featured holds a current Gambling Commission licence, because the advertising codes bind affiliates directly
Uganda and KenyaInformation only. Both regimes require regulatory approval for gambling advertising, so operator pages carry no promotional link
ArmeniaNo commercial link. Public gambling advertising is barred, with narrow exceptions that do not include a third-party review
IndonesiaNo commercial link and no sign-up invitation. Gambling is prohibited outright
United StatesNo content without a named state and confirmation that featured operators are licensed in it

If you believe a page on this site breaches an advertising rule in your market, tell us at [email protected], and we will look at it properly rather than defensively.
